Our Written Commitment to You
Every True Day Water Damage Restoration project is covered by our written Limited Workmanship Warranty. Unlike verbal assurances or unbacked marketing promises, our warranty is a documented contractual commitment provided in writing at the start of every project โ before work begins.

Coverage Terms
Water Damage Mitigation and Structural Drying
Warranty Period: 1 year from documented project completion date.
Coverage: If moisture-related conditions caused by the originally addressed loss re-emerge in the same location within 12 months of documented project completion, True Day will return and re-dry the affected area at no additional cost to the customer. This warranty covers the workmanship of the drying process โ the completeness of moisture removal to species-specific dry standard as measured by calibrated penetrating moisture meters at documented monitoring points.
Any post-remediation Cladosporium, Aspergillus, or other mold colonization traceable to inadequate drying of the originally addressed area is covered under this warranty period, subject to the exclusions listed below.
Mold Remediation
Warranty Period: 90 days from clearance testing.
Coverage: Compliance with ANSI/IICRC S520 protocols is guaranteed. If independent third-party clearance testing at project completion certifies the affected area as within acceptable air quality parameters, and re-colonization from the original moisture source occurs within 90 days, True Day will return and re-remediate at no additional cost. This warranty applies to the specific mold species and locations identified in the original clearance report.
Note: This warranty period is shorter than the mitigation warranty because mold recurrence beyond 90 days is typically attributable to a new moisture source (roof leak, new plumbing failure, ongoing humidity condition) rather than to inadequate original remediation.
Reconstruction
Warranty Period: 1 year from documented reconstruction completion date.
Coverage: Workmanship on all reconstruction elements installed by True Day is warranted for 12 months, including:
- Drywall installation, taping, mudding, and texture
- Insulation replacement
- Flooring (LVP, carpet, laminate, hardwood, tile โ installation only)
- Cabinetry installation
- Finish carpentry (baseboard, casing, crown molding)
- Interior paint (application only)
- Structural framing repair and replacement
Any workmanship defect (adhesion failure, seam separation, alignment error, finish inconsistency) discovered within the warranty period will be corrected at no additional cost.
Materials
Warranty Period: Per manufacturer’s original warranty terms.
Coverage: Materials installed by True Day carry their original manufacturer warranty in full. If a material defect emerges within the manufacturer’s warranty period, True Day will coordinate the manufacturer warranty claim and complete the replacement installation. Material warranty coverage is subject to manufacturer terms and conditions.
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by a new moisture event unrelated to the originally addressed loss (a new plumbing failure, new roof leak, new appliance failure)
- Damage caused by ongoing conditions the homeowner declined to address as part of the original scope (a known roof condition, an ongoing foundation seepage source, a pending plumbing repair recommended and not performed)
- Damage caused by acts of God occurring after project completion (earthquake, tornado, hail event, wildfire)
- Damage caused by the homeowner or other contractors after True Day project completion
- Cosmetic conditions that do not affect the functional integrity of the workmanship (minor settling cracks in new drywall, natural material variation in flooring, paint sheen variation due to lighting differences)
- Normal wear and tear from ongoing use
- Any condition in an area outside the documented project scope
- Any condition arising from unauthorized modifications by the homeowner or another party to the workmanship installed by True Day
How to Make a Warranty Claim
- Contact True Day within 30 days of discovering the condition. Later notice does not automatically void coverage but may complicate diagnosis.
- Document the condition with photographs and any relevant observations (date discovered, apparent source, extent).
- Provide your original project number โ included on the invoice and project completion documentation you received from True Day.
- Schedule a warranty inspection. True Day will inspect the condition within 5 business days of a valid claim, or sooner in the case of active water damage.
- Warranty resolution. If the inspection confirms a covered workmanship or drying issue, True Day will complete the repair at no cost within a mutually agreed timeline.

General Provisions
Transferability: This warranty is transferable to a subsequent owner of the property if the property is sold within the warranty period. The new owner must provide the original True Day project number and evidence of the sale.
Governing Law: This warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Utah. Any disputes arising from this warranty shall be resolved in the courts of Salt Lake County, Utah.
Limitation: True Day’s warranty liability is limited to the cost of the original workmanship or drying scope. Consequential damages (loss of use, temporary lodging costs, personal property damage not directly caused by the workmanship failure) are not covered by this warranty and are typically addressed through your homeowner’s insurance policy.
Non-Impairment of Statutory Rights: This warranty is in addition to, not in place of, any consumer protection rights available to Utah residents under state or federal law. Nothing in this warranty limits your rights under the Utah Consumer Sales Practices Act or other applicable law.
