Michael Bass — Owner & Founder
Michael Bass is the owner, founder, and driving force behind True Day Water Damage Restoration. He launched the company with one goal in mind: to build a restoration business in Salt Lake County that homeowners and business owners could actually trust — one that responds fast, communicates honestly, and delivers results that last.
Michael oversees every aspect of the business, from team training and equipment standards to customer relations and quality control. He is hands-on by nature and takes personal responsibility for every job that goes out under the True Day name. When you work with True Day Water Damage Restoration, Michael’s commitment to quality is present at every step — whether he is on-site directing the crew or following up to make sure you are satisfied long after the project is complete.
Based in South Jordan, Michael is deeply rooted in the Salt Lake County community. He understands the local climate, the construction styles common in the area, and the specific challenges that Utah homeowners face — from spring snowmelt flooding to freeze-thaw pipe bursts in winter. Marcus has spent over twelve years in the restoration industry and leads every major water mitigation job that comes through True Day’s doors. He’s IICRC-certified in Water Damage Restoration and Applied Structural Drying, and homeowners across South Jordan know him as the guy who’ll walk you through every step before he ever fires up a piece of equipment. When he’s not on a job site, you’ll find him coaching his daughter’s soccer team or fly fishing the Provo River.

Sofia Mendoza — Mitigation & Remediation Specialist
Sofia handles True Day’s most sensitive jobs, from black-water sewage backups to mold remediation in finished basements. With seven years in the field and certifications in Applied Microbial Remediation and Trauma & Crime Scene Cleanup, she brings a calm, methodical approach to situations most people would rather not deal with. Her crews say she has a sixth sense for finding hidden moisture pockets that lesser equipment misses.
